New Paradigm Architects are very experienced in designing period, luxury country houses with a contemporary twist for both developers and private clients, predominantly in both Surrey and the surrounding Home Counties. Luxury country houses which are highly appropriate for refined living in the 21st century.
Clarity and logic, as applied to the internal layout, with an emphasis on long vistas to frame internal and external views:
Elegance and balance, applied to the elevations which refer back to an earlier age of proportion and of symmetry, are all the hallmarks of the fine and distinctive residences designed by New Paradigm Architects.

biography

New Paradigm Architects was established by Simon Latner BA B.arch in 2014 with the aim of offering to both developers and private clients, a superior level of classically inspired design and authenticity, applied to the creation of 'super-prime' residential development than can often be found in both Surrey and the surrounding Home Counties.

Prior to establishing New Paradigm Architects, Simon was the principal and sole 'in-house' architect for Royalton in Esher, Surrey and working alongside the CEO, Ken Parker, the directors and the rest of the hardworking team, helped establish Royalton as one of Surrey's most successful developers of luxury 'super-prime' residences in the £5m to £35m range.

Having been a qualified and registered architect for over 40 years, Simon brings a wealth of experience, design skill and ability to each project and is well-versed in taking a commission from the very earliest stage of inception (in other words, a blank sheet of paper) through the initial development of the brief and subsequent iterative stages of concept and more detailed design, to the eventual submission for planning approval of the finalised design. *

* As based on stages A-D of the RIBA Outline Plan of Work 2007, which clearly explains the different stages of work an architect normally undertakes. Please note that this Plan of Work is no longer issued by the RIBA and has been superceded but it is still a very useful indicator of the services to be provided.

professional services

Any successful planning application is the result of a combined effort by a number of specialist consultants and New Paradigm is well acquainted with and happy to recommend a number of professional consultants who would need to be involved throughout the design and planning application process. The need to incorporate topographical, arboricultural and ecological survey information as a minimum requirement in order that a planning application may be validated by the relevant local authority and residents assocation (as required), has a significant bearing on the form and content of the application itself and New Paradigm Architects are in the fortunate position to be able to recommend consultants who are fully capable of providing the correct level of service.

New Paradigm Architects (subject to further agreement) would also be in the position to advise and assist private clients in the appointment of additional consultants as necessary to take over the responsibility to progress a project forward once planning approval has been granted. These may include project managers, structural and services engineers, cad technicians to produce the construction drawings and liase with other consultants, general and specialist contractors as well as landscape and interior designers as may be required in order to deliver to the client:
